Welthungerhilfe Zimbabwe is implementing a digital skills training project under the Urban Resilience Building programme. It was such an honour to be a facilitator at the Lifelong Skills Training Workshop held at Harare Institute of Technology.
With an overall aim of strengthening the resilience capacities of most vulnerable households to climate and economic shocks and their impacts on food security and livelihoods. The Digital Skills Training project is being implemented in Harare as a pilot project. Sponsored by World Food Programme, the project focuses on digital skills (technical, soft skills, financial literacy, freelancing) training almost 200 young people and facilitating their access to online and offline labour markets.
As a tech-driven entrepreneur who is driven by Sustainable Development Goals, my aim was to inspire aspiring digital marketers to adopt SDGs to solve problems in their communities and make sure they create stories which will position them for global opportunities.
Once again thank you WHH and WFP
