“He who rejects change is the architect of decay. The only human institution which rejects progress is the cemetery.”
“Life will only change when you become more committed to your dreams than you are to your comfort zone.”
We cannot change without pressure and we can not change while in our comfort zones. There are so many reasons why people pursue a career change, this can include salary, career satisfaction, toxic environment, leadership, work flexibility and more.
Have you ever been put in a situation where you feel crushed, you feel helpless, you feel you have reached your limit, you feel you are being micro-managed, you feel you have no voice, you feel like you are suffocating in your current career and you feel like the world is crumbling on you? Let me say have you ever had a wake-up call which will make you shift your mindset? If your answer is no, chances are high that you will not pursue a career change because you are comfortable. You would say the devil you know is better than what you don’t know.

If it wasn’t for the book Crushing – God turns pressure into power written by Bishop TD Jakes, I don’t know how I would sail through a certain era in my career. While many would envy to be in my position, Being sent away from my kids at a young age was my worst career nightmare and wake-up call. During this time is when I realized we can not really change and think better if we are in our comfort zone.
Being in a situation and not doing anything about it but complaining will not help you either if you want to divert or change your career.
Move away from your comfort zone if you want to change
