The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies offers boundless opportunities for innovation and progress across various sectors. However, it’s imperative to ensure that the benefits of AI are inclusive and equitable. Women, despite their significant contributions to science and technology, remain underrepresented in the field of AI. To address this gap and foster gender diversity and inclusion in AI, Tofara Online Trust launched an initiative called Women in Artificial Intelligence Global Network
Objectives:
- Promoting Diversity: WAI aims to promote gender diversity and inclusion within the field of artificial intelligence by providing a platform for women to engage, collaborate, and excel.
- Empowering Women: The association seeks to empower women in AI by offering networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and skill-building workshops to enhance their professional development and leadership capabilities.
- Advancing Research and Innovation: WAI will support and showcase women-led research and innovation in artificial intelligence, encouraging the creation of groundbreaking technologies that address diverse societal challenges.
- Community Building: Through seminars, conferences, and online forums, WAIA will facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences among women in AI, fostering a supportive and collaborative community.
- Advocacy and Outreach: The association will advocate for policies and initiatives that promote gender equality and representation in AI, while also conducting outreach activities to inspire and encourage girls and young women to pursue careers in AI and related fields.
